The MSC Yacht Club is an exclusive, luxury experience offered by MSC Cruises, designed to provide guests with a high level of comfort, privacy and personalised service. Located in a private area of the ship, the MSC Yacht Club offers a “ship within a ship”; concept, allowing guests to enjoy the amenities of a large cruise liner while also experiencing the intimacy of a boutique hotel.
Key features of the MSC Yacht Club include spacious suites, many with private balconies and access to dedicated areas such as a private pool, sun deck and lounge. Guests also enjoy personalised butler service, a 24-hour concierge and priority boarding and disembarkation.
The Yacht Club also boasts exclusive dining venues, offering gourmet cuisine in a serene setting away from the main dining areas. The experience is designed for travellers seeking a premium cruising experience, with all the benefits of a larger ship’s entertainment and facilities, but with the added touch of luxury and exclusivity.
The Travel Suite customers, Neville and Grainne Dunne shared their experience onboard MSC Yacht Club.
Neville shared, “It was our first experience of a cruise and it was everything we had hoped for. The accommodation, food, pool, service and crew were fantastic and the Yacht club made it all the more special.” Their itinerary included Palermo, Pompeii, Pisa, Marseille, Tunis and Athens. Here is what Neville thought of each place, “We enjoyed visiting some incredible locations, the beautiful old town of Palermo for gelato and pastries, Pompeii was extraordinary, Pisa was iconic as expected and also a lovely place to explore. The marina in Marseille is certainly a place we intend to visit again. Tunis may have suited some tourists, but aspects of the Medina just didn’t feel safe, particularly for my wife and daughter. Also, the day was spent fending off people trying very hard to sell something. It’s a personal thing but we realised we are not adventure travellers.
“We spent some nights in Athens, enjoying the city and in particular, around Plaka at night. The Acropolis and Parthenon and also St. George’s church, were incredible. The boys and I also got to a Panathinaikos match in the Athens Olympic stadium. A relaxing week in Chania, Crete was ideal and Domes Cheen is in a beautifully positioned location. We had chilled days by the pool or beach with perfect views followed by a walk into the old town each evening,
it was perfect.”
In relation to booking tours at each port, Neville says, “We booked private tours with Viator based on the advice of the team at the Travel Suite as there were six of us. They were worth every cent as it really felt like we got to see more than would otherwise be available.”
The benefits of booking from start to finish with a travel agent is important and helps makes everything run smoothly so you can sit back and take it all in. Neville says that, “As for using The Travel Suite, it is certainly my preferred option for reliable advice and insights, seamless logistics and if there is an unexpected problem, someone who cares enough to help.”
