However, the river cruise story of Co-Founder and President Rudi Schreiner began much earlier. Born in Vienna, at the heart of the Danube, Rudi’s passion for design led him to study architecture but his greater passion for travel took him around the world. In 1975, a journalism assignment on the Amazon took him to South America, where he designed his first ship—a raft built from available materials for a seven-month journey along the river. Following this adventure, Rudi transitioned into the travel industry, creating unique tour experiences across Europe.
