As indicated by its name, the Observation Lounge offers a wonderful vantage point to enjoy staggering views as your glorious ship enters and leaves ports of call. Live music adds to the serene vibe. You’ll find the popular Mariner Lounge tough to resist. It’s an inviting spot to chat with new friends over cocktails before a delicious dinner, and an exciting space to dance the night away afterwards. Glass doors lead to an elegant setting bustling with games of chance that include Blackjack, roulette, poker and slot machines. The Casino is open every day at sea when not restricted by territorial border limits. Encircling a glistening stairwell that leads to the Casino, the Stars Lounge is a throwback nightspot that draws fun-loving crowds for after-dinner drinks and late-night cocktails. A favourite with night owls.

Look after yourself at sea. Take part in Pilates, yoga and aerobics classes or help yourself to spinning bikes, dumbbells, treadmills, Technogym Strength Machines, workout mats and step benches int the Fitness Centre. Venice (Fusina), Italy

Venice, often hailed as the “City of Canals,” is a captivating and enchanting destination. Built on a lagoon, this Italian city is renowned for its picturesque waterways, historic architecture and romantic ambiance. From iconic landmarks like St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge to its maze-like streets and charming gondola rides, Venice offers a unique and unforgettable experience.

 

DAY 2

Zadar, Croatia

Found on the northern Dalmatian coast of Croatia, Zadar is rich with thousands of years of history. Ruled at various times by the Romans, Ostrogoths, and Byzantium, the city became a centre of commerce and naval power rivalling that of Venice. Today, Zadar’s history, culture, and architecture draw visitors from around the world, as does Plitvice National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

 

DAY 4

Siracusa (Sicily), Italy

Siracusa is one of the oldest cities in the Mediterranean, with a wonderful collection of historical sites from both the ancient Greek and Roman time periods. In 2005, Siracusa and the nearby necropolis of Pantalica were deemed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Euryalus Castle, built by order of Dionysius the Elder. Also explore the Catacombs of Vigna Cassia, Saint Lucia and the Basilica of St. John. These three sites consist of a series of tunnels dug into the rock, where men and women of the Christian faith were buried, which at that time was prohibited. Made between the third and fourth century AD, they are visible along with sarcophagi paintings, frescoes, and altars.

 

DAY 5

Amalfi/Positano, Italy

Discover chic Positano with its relaxed, sophisticated air and white Moorish-style houses clinging to steep slopes around a sparkling bay filled with colourful fishing boats. Then visit enchanting Amalfi and admire the 12th-century Capuchin monastery and see the beautiful 11th-century Cathedral and cloister before exploring on your own. Browse Positano’s boutiques for the town’s locally made casual cotton clothes or search for unique souvenirs in Amalfi. Enjoy delicious fresh seafood and pasta or tempting pastries and espresso in a spectacular seaside, mountainous setting.

 

 

DAY 6

Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy

Whether enjoying the street performers at the Spanish Steps and people-watching over a fine glass of wine in colorful Trastevere, or taking in the historical and architectural glory that is Rome, visitors are spoiled for choice in this truly Eternal City. St. Peter’s Basilica is a full-day outing, featuring the Sistine Chapel and panoramic city vistas for those willing to climb to the top of the dome. Other landmarks not to miss include the renowned Trevi Fountain, the Coliseum, and Aventine Hill, which provides you with a grand view of the imposing remains of the Imperial Palaces and the Circus Maximus, of Ben Hur fame.

 

DAY 7

Tuscany (Livorno), Italy

Livorno, located in the centre of Tuscany, is the gateway to the glory of Renaissance Florence and Pisa. From the 13th to 16th centuries, this era of creative freedom encouraged the genius of Dante, Donatello, Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, da Vinci, and Machiavelli to create some of the world’s most noted masterpieces. Elegant Florence offers the Galleria dell’Accademia, with its iconic masterpiece, Michelangelo’s David. The Uffizi is home to the most renowned art gallery in Italy, with representative works by the titan’s of Renaissance art. Join us for an excursion to Pisa, and tour the city’s beautiful and historic Campo dei Miracoli. Nearby Siena captures the spirit of Medieval Italy and Lucca offers the memorable chance to bicycle through the fragrant Tuscan countryside.

 

 

DAY 8

Monte Carlo, Monaco

Tiny, but packed with fun, Monte Carlo offers a wonderful combination of history, beauty, entertainment and leisure. The wealthiest spot in Monaco, Monte Carlo is an enchanting place, known as the international capital of luxury and for its celebrity-sightings, casinos and nightlife. Yet the old world shines through in its art and architecture. Palaces, cathedrals and museums dot this small municipality in an old town full of rich history. Be sure to catch the once-daily changing of the guard, then tour the public areas at the Palais du Prince, home to the royal family, whose most famous resident was famous actress Grace Kelly.

 

 

DAY 9

Toulon, France

Explore bustling Toulon, with its fleets of naval ships, yachts and colourful fishing boats. Take the cable car to the top of Mount Faron and enjoy the amazing birds eye view of Toulon and the turquoise harbour. Learn about the town’s maritime history at the Museé de la Marine and about the Allied landing in Toulon at the Museé Memorial du Debarquement. Discover the maze of open-air markets and fountains in Old Town with its ancient cathedral, fragrant scents of herbs and olive oil, its restaurants, cafés and intimate boutiques. Take home designer fashions, fine jewellery, French perfumes and other Provencal mementos. Herbs de Provence, lavender, fine olive oil, and ceramics are popular.

 

 

DAY 10

Mahon (Menorca), Spain

Visitors delight in Mahón’s charming shops and eateries, and the traditional Georgian buildings of its hilly old quarter. Explore the island and savour its dramatic views, quaint villages and well-preserved taulas of the island’s megalithic civilisation. Be sure not to miss the Plaza de España, with market stalls lining the arcades of the former Carmelite friary, where you can purchase local art work and souvenirs. Savour fresh seafood, some paella, delightful local wines, and Mahón’s signature cheese at quaint local tapas bars.

 

 

DAY 11

Barcelona, Spain

One of Europe’s most visually stunning cities, Barcelona balances the medieval intimacy of its Gothic Quarter with the grace and distinction of the wide boulevards in the Moderniste Eixample. It was the home of architect Antoni Gaudí, whose Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Park Güell and Casa Milà are the most profound statements of Modernisme. View the splendid works at the Picasso Museum and the Miro Foundation, or discover Barcelona’s passionate ambiance at a flamenco show.
