Ahead of the maiden voyage of Explora Journeys’ first ship, the EXPLORA I, in July 2023, the design of the remarkable Owner’s Residence suite has been unveiled.

The Owner’s Residence is the largest suite on board, offering multiple harmonious spaces for relaxation, entertainment and unwinding, all while enjoying breathtaking panoramic ocean views from the private outdoor terrace that stretches across the width of the entire ship.

Spanning over 280 square metres, this luxurious living space consists of a spacious suite area of 155 square metres and a 125 square metre outdoor terrace, complete with an infinity whirlpool and a dining table accommodating eight guests.

The suite showcases stunning spaces with an iconic European design that embodies Explora Journeys’ philosophy of fostering an “Ocean State of Mind”. The design effortlessly combines elegance with a relaxed European sense of luxury.

Guests staying in the Owner’s Residence will be pampered with dedicated private butler services provided by the Residence Manager. Services include unpacking and packing assistance, itinerary and transport planning, as well as private in-suite dining. Additionally, they will enjoy unlimited priority reservations for all culinary venues and receive a complimentary treatment at Ocean Wellness – The Spa.

The Owner’s Residence is equipped with an extensive range of features and benefits. These include a custom-designed king-sized bed sleep system, a telescope, luxurious bed linens from Frette, an array of pillows to choose from and a Dyson Supersonic hairdryer. Guests will also have access to a Technogym Bench and Technogym Case Kit, a private bar stocked according to their preferences and a welcome bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013.

To align with Explora Journeys’ commitment to sustainability, eco-friendly features have been incorporated into the in-suite offering. These include refillable bathroom amenities, an espresso machine with biodegradable pods and a complimentary personal refillable water bottle for each guest.

Furthermore, guests staying in the Owner’s Residence will enjoy roundtrip home to airport ground transfers, a complimentary pre- or post-journey hotel night and roundtrip transfers between the hotel and port. They will also have the opportunity for one private driver ashore, subject to availability, and unlimited priority reservations for all culinary venues.

The Owner’s Residence on board EXPLORA I can accommodate a maximum of three adults or two adults and one child under 18 years old.

Explora Journeys will innovatively and thoughtfully cater for muti-generations travelling together. With interconnecting suites, a dedicated Nautilus Club for young and teenagers and specially curated destination experiences, families embarking on a journey aboard EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II can anticipate an inspiring adventure filled with cherished memories.

Families can choose from 78 interconnecting suites across three lavish categories: Ocean Suites, Ocean Penthouses and Ocean Residences. These spacious onboard apartments provide families with the freedom to create their own private “home at sea” while enjoying the desired level of privacy. As families come in all sizes, there are flexible options to accommodate their space requirements. Every accommodation reflects Explora Journeys’ commitment to modern European craftsmanship and vibrant design, ensuring a comfortable and stylish experience.

Explora Journeys goes the extra mile to ensure families feel at home during their voyage. Little comforts like dedicated bathrobes, slippers, and hangers make younger guests feel special. Even the tiniest travelers are catered to with amenities such as baby cribs, bed linens, blankets, and baby pillows, ensuring their comfort throughout the journey.

For guests booking a minimum of three to a maximum of four suites, with at least one suite being an Ocean Penthouse or Ocean Residence, the Journey Together Gathering program provides a dedicated space for socialising and enjoying each other’s company in a private setting. This is ideal for groups of friends or extended multi-generational families. Moreover, families traveling with children will benefit from one under-18 guest in each suite sailing for free, along with complimentary transfers to the ship for all guests booked in the Journey Together Gathering program.

Even the most dedicated parents deserve a little downtime. At the Helios Pool Bar, exclusively reserved for adults, they can savour a tranquil drink, take a leisurely swim or simply relax while enjoying panoramic views of a perfect sunset. In other public spaces such as restaurants, lounges, pools and bars, children are more than welcome. The culinary team is always delighted to offer a variety of choices to accommodate the preferences of young guests at any time of the day.
