Kick off your Iceland volcano & Blue Lagoon adventure when you arrive in Reykjavik and be transformed mind and body at the Blue Lagoon, a hidden gem of tranquility. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, this geothermal spa offers a soothing escape. Check into your hotel and enjoy Icelandic cuisine.
The orange, glowing rivers of lava form a surreal and stunning vista! Take in mother nature’s incredible display of power and transformation from a helicopter and witness this once in a lifetime event. On day three via Super Jeep visit the iconic Golden Circle which consists of three equally stunning locations in southwest Iceland: Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir Geothermal Area, and Gullfoss waterfall. Once you arrive at the glacier hut, you will be kitted out and instructed how to safety ride into the winter wonderland on snowmobiles.
With this latest volcano eruption, you might be wondering if Iceland is safe to visit right now. As long as you follow all safety instructions, the Icelandic authorities assure you that the volcano is not dangerous. There has been no impact on flights to Iceland, so if you’ve booked a trip, you can proceed with it. However, we do not recommend visiting the eruption site itself. This is due to the possibility that new fissures could open anywhere near Litli-Hrútur, where the eruption is taking place. Children and people with respiratory problems should avoid the site due to the presence of harmful gases.
