The Travel Suite team recently organised for Pat and his family to ring in the new year on a trip to Dubai which included business class flights, luxury accommodation in the Conrad Hotel and a 7 night cruise aboard the MSC Europa. Returning home the family brought back not only family memories but also some great advice for anyone planning a trip, here is everything you need to know…
Check out his Top Tips – what you need to know?
-
- We travelled with Emirates Airlines to Dubai – excellent check in process, fantastic business class inflight service and chauffeur collection to our hotel in Dubai
- The Conrad Hotel in Dubai was excellent. The executive floor is great value – executive lounge provides breakfast, happy hours & all sorts of nice treats during the day with excellent view. The hotel staff were particularly good.
- We Used ‘With locals’ App for private tour of Dubai – we had a brilliant tour of old & new Dubai. Uber works really well in Dubaii – well worth using. Taxis take Revolut & TAP which makes it so easy to get around
- Physical check in to MSC EUROPA easy thanks to your excellent pre-check-in in advance.
- Our Suite (GRAND SUITE AUREA WITH TERRACE AND WHIRLPOOL)
was excellent & great size Girls cabin was small for 3 adults & smaller than I imagined (JUNIOR SUITE AUREA) – the girls were fine just to be aware these cabins are tight even for 2 persons - The ship staff very friendly.
- A great mix of guests onboard.
- The Shows /entertainment on board best we have seen on a cruise bar none – need to be booked through the APP in advance.
- I would say you would need to get very familiar with the APP as most things done through it.
- The Food on board was of a high standard & flavourful compared with other Cruise companiess. Only minor disappointment was the Mexican restaurant which wasn’t as good as the others.
- The additional restaurants are well worth the upgrade.
- The price of items in shops on board surprisingly excellent value.
- The World Europa is so impressive – a marvel of design – layout initially complicated compared with other ships & takes time to get to grips with.
- We found the gym too small especially day at sea.
- The WIFI was not as expected – no chance of streaming or doing Zoom calls especially at Sea.
- Coffee shop on board fabulous as is the ice cream parlour & dessert café.
- Did the Dune Bashing out of Abu Dhabi, plus Quads etc – all throughViator tour – an excellent experience.
- We had a day stop at Sir Bani Yas Island- loved it. We did a tour of animal park which was fabulous. MSC put on great barbeque just off the boat on the beach which is a sight to behold & very tasty.
- Bahrain was one of the highlights – booked a tour via Viator, it as so cool – really liked the vibe there.
- Doha was “Mad”!! Visited their new museum of culture which is amazing – a must visit. Also had tour via Viator of the city area, very different experience
- We thoroughly enjoyed the family time with – the onboard and land experiences were all fantastic, we even had a lovely Birthday Celebration for my daughter which was memorable.
- The team at The Travel Suite ensured in advance we were prepared for this trip and we value their experience.
