Customer Inspiration – Stephanie

Just back from a glorious week in Ikos Andalucia, just a 45 minute drive from Malaga airport, nestled in between San Pedro and Estepona on the Costa del Sol.  Ikos is a Greek owned all -inclusive resort and they have left no stone unturned.  We truly had an incredible week there filled with walks and cycles along the board walk, golf in Los Naranjos, lounging by many of the numerous pools and eating in some of their many wonderful restaurants.

The resort organised our transfer for us from the airport and it felt like no time when we arrived in the luxurious resort of Ikos.  The staff are predominantly young Europeans, 25% Greeks, and extremely efficient and good humoured.  We booked a 2 bedroom deluxe suite which was out of this world.  The view alone was spectacular looking out over the Mediterranean ocean with the Rock of Gibraltar to the right where we watched the sun set at night, and Puerto Banus to the left where the sun rose at day break.  The balcony was ginormous with a table that sat 8, a large outdoor double bed and a couch with two armchairs.  The décor was cool, chic, contemporary and everything you love in a warm climate. The bedrooms were fabulous, the bathrooms even better. So much space for clothes, accessories, and light to beat the band.

Over the week we walked the boardwalk towards Estepona most mornings before breakfast, and followed it with tennis 3 afternoons, cycling 2 afternoons, and golf another.  There are two tennis courts on site which you should book in advance as these get busy.  And if you fancy getting lessons these are available too. There are probably around 100 bicycles available for guests of all ages, 3-80, and always seemed to be enough for the 1,000+ guests in the resort.  Golf and Paddle are available for guests too, these were included in our package which was fabulous.  There are soccer camps for kids, kiddie clubs, adult only areas and entertainment galore.  The Spa is fabulous, the bars great fun, and as we left on our last day we noticed there is a nightclub on site too!

You will be spoilt for choice in where you would like to eat as they have 9 restaurants in Ikos.  My favourites for lunch was the Italian, Fresco, and the Greek, Ouzo.  The buffet was incredible too and offered you everything you could think of.  The desserts were exceptional.  My dinner favourites in Ikos were the Thai, Anaya, amazing and dinner on the beach, a wonderful experience.  Make sure you book your restaurants in advance as they do book up, and who wants to be disappointed on holidays.

What I loved most about Ikos was the range of pools and the gardens.  For peace and quiet, the adult only pool is fantastic, and for the little ones the kiddies pool looked fun.  But in between there are 4 more which you can indulge in.  So if you are looking for a holiday that leaves you feeling refreshed and exhilarated at the same time this is the one for you.  The Travel Suite were fantastic in arranging everything from the perfect suite, to transfers, making sure we availed of the golf, a day in a Tesla and booked all our restaurants in advance.  You won’t be disappointed.

Our CEO Mary McKenna travelled to Ikos Andalucia in October 2024 and here are some of our videos an pictures to give you an idea of what a holiday with Ikos is about.
