Fly from the UK to Barcelona. Your deluxe cruise begins in Barcelona, where you’ll be transferred to your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht to begin your journey of the Spanish coastline.

Day 2 – Port Vendres

Port-Vendres, in the Occitanie region of France, is a pleasant port town known for its deep-water harbour. In fact, it’s one of the few ports in this region of France that can accommodate large freighters and cruise ships. Port-Vendres is just north of the Spanish border on the Vermilion Coast, a length of coastline famed for its red cliffs contrasting with the azure waters.

Experience the stunning “Côte Vermeille” on a leisurely morning excursion by air-conditioned motor coach, exploring the picturesque Mediterranean region between Argeles and Cerbere. A scenic one-hour drive from Palamós takes you to Girona, known as the Immortal City, rich in history and one of Spain’s most fascinating monumental cities. Explore El Call, a well-preserved Jewish Quarter with nearly seven centuries of continuous habitation. Visit the Arab Baths, showcasing beautiful arches in a Romanesque style, and the Bonastruch Ca Porta Museum at the old synagogue site. Don’t miss the medieval city walls, remnants of Gironella Tower, and the stunning Monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants before returning to Palamós.

Next, we’ll visit Benicassim’s beaches to explore the historic San Vicente Tower and the villas from the Belle Epoque era, when notable families chose the area as their seaside resort, dubbing it the “Valencian Biarritz.” If time allows, we may venture towards the Sea Greenway, a peaceful route connecting Oropesa del Mar and Benicassim.
